A SALUTE TO OUR VETERANS
Washington Elementary will present "A Salute To Our Veterans" on Friday, November 11 at 10AM. All students are memorizing patriotic songs to sing and to say "THANKS" to all of the Veterans and current military personnel. Students in Kindergarten are encouraged to wear blue shirts. Grades 1 and 3 should wear white shirts while Grades 2 and 4 should wear red shirts. Students are encouraged to invite family members or friends who are Veterans or active in the military to join us on the 11th.
We will display a "Wall of Honor" recognizing military members past and present who have a connection to Washington Elementary. If you would like to honor someone, please complete the form (click here) and return it to school by Friday, November 4th. Feel free to make copies if you would like to honor more than one Veteran or active duty member.

STAY CONNECTED WITH REMIND AND TWITTER
Remind is a safe, simple and free way for Washington Elementary to connect instantly with parents about events happening at school. Remind is a free service that lets the school send one-way messages via SMS, push notifications or email to everyone registered. There is no exchange of personal phone numbers. Remind messages are not sent from personal cell phone numbers. Parents who sign up to receive messages from the school will never gain access to any personal cell phone numbers, nor will the school ever have access to parent’s cell phone numbers.
Remind is completely free to use. Standard text messaging rates apply to those receiving messages, based off each individuals messaging plan and cell phone carrier, but there are no added costs. In other words, a Remind message is exactly the same as getting a text message from friends or relatives.
